Receiving Junk Emails in Inbox Contact MSN Customer Care

Junk emails are irritating especially when their volume is large and they just fill up your inbox. You can’t find your important emails and keep receiving annoying notifications (if you have turned ON the feature). These emails cannot be stopped but can be controlled through various steps which are listed here.
  • Avoid posting your email address unnecessarily on social media platforms and online directories. Don’t share your email id with strangers.
  • Don’t reply to spam or suspicious emails. Don’t even unsubscribe them; just move them to Junk Email folder. Don’t get into trap to transfer money or provide your password if they claim to be from renowned companies. Select the ‘Junk Email’ and click on ‘Empty Folder’ option.
  • You can block the domains of unwanted emails you receive by taking help from MSN customer care support team or by performing the below steps:

                # Select Settings>Options>Mail>Junk email.

                # Now select ‘blocked senders’ and enter the email id or domain to be blocked.

                # Click Add (+) icon.

                # Select ‘Save.’

  • You can set a junk email filter from Standard and Exclusive filtering levels by following the Settings>Options>Mail>Junk email options.
  • Report the emails which look like junk or spam.

o   Select the box next to the suspicious email message. You can select multiple emails by holding the Ctrl key.

o   You will find the ‘Junk’ option on the top navigation bar. Click on the arrow next to it, following options will appear:

                      # Junk: Select it for junk emails.

                      # Phishing Scam: Select it for the emails which ask you for confidential information such as bank account details, passwords or social security number.

  • Whenever you shop online, the option to share your email address is pre-selected. Please check for these boxes and uncheck them if you don’t want to subscribe to promotional emails.
  • Whenever you sign up for an online service, read the privacy policy (at least the confidentiality rules.) This will save you from giving permission to share your email id and other details.
  • Disguise your email address when you share it online. It is the best way to restrict automatic spammers from reading your email address. For instance; instead of typing your id as abc@outlook.com type it as abc AT outlook DOT com.
  • The risk of malware can be reduced by installing good antivirus software and updating it regularly.
If you have clicked on any spam email, change your password immediately. And, remember you have to directly throw it into Junk folder without even opening it (precautionary step.) Contact MSN customer care tech support service for more tips.
